New Zealand Flag

Today's the day ……………………….. for solidarity

We've had our New Zealand flag flying at half-mast here - to show sympathy with what has been going on in that country on the other side of the world today.  The first burials of victims of the attack in the Al Noor Mosque, in which 50 people were killed - have been held today in Christchurch.

The way that the people of New Zealand along with their Prime Minister have managed to cope with the trauma and sadness of this atrocity has been heartwarming and inspirational.  A nation truly united in their grief.

Such a sharp contrast to the goings-on here over Brexit when everyone is out for themselves and motives are all political.  A nation divided in the worst possible way …………………….
