Dandry Gorge

Deep in the vast Pilliga Forest of NSW, is a once secret location of the Aboriginal Gamilaroi People.
The Sculptures in the Scrub display the rich cultural history of these people.
The sculpture pictured is titled First Lesson (Dhayuanduul Waanda), and is of a young aboriginal boy on his father's shoulders, gazing out over the gorge.
The sculptor, Brett Garling, hopes that it portrays an honesty about the people and the culture.
