Looks Good To Me

On The Road Again

This was taken through the windshield of the van taking us from Phoenix airport to Flagstaff, at about 1:00 am Friday morning. Yes, that white stuff is snow. It was a very long journey.

We got up at 5:00 am Thursday and received notification that our flight from Seattle had been rescheduled from 11:50 to 12:50. We had reserved seats on the Bellair Airporter bus to Sea-Tac and resigned ourselves to having an extra hour wait at the airport, but there were four more delays. Cynthia had to call to change our reservation for ground transportation to Flagstaff each time. We didn’t take off until 6:30 for the 3-hour flight.

Each passenger was given a $200 voucher good for future travel within a year, and free drinks during the flight. We would much rather have left on time!

We arrived in Flagstaff at 1:30 am and dragged our roll-aboards half a mile uphill to our Airbnb. It was bitterly cold, and there was a mixture of mud and grit on the sidewalks — a reminder of the recent three feet of snow, some of it remaing on the grasssy areas.

It took us a long time to get warm enough to go to bed — we sorely missed our heated floors and electric blanket.

The day was much better. We made a surprisingly fast recovery from the ordeal and enjoyed sunshine and good food.
