The Afternoon Set

Katie and Gordon at Belhaven Bay, the sun setting after 3pm. After yesterday's dramatic weather, today was bright, calm and mild - quite a contrast. After an early visit to the swimming pool we were out all day enjoying time together. High tide and the setting sun coincided again so we found a dry spot and played on the rocks.

Bigger Bay.

There's a lot of coastal damage from yesterday and we were chatting to a creel fisherman who had brought his creels in for repair with nothing but dead lobster in them. He explained the creels were rolling around the sea floor in the storm, which knocks the lobsters' legs off and they die. So, we were all glad that the weather had passed.

We spent ages putting up our garden lights after we got home, because they came out of the box completely tangled. Grr. Still, now that they're up they do look good. Very festive! One more working day until Christmas for me, and just 4 more school days.
