Well I’ll Be *******d

This little fellow was on the inside of our living room window when we sat down for breakfast this morning.  Mrs W popped him into a specimen pot and we both had a go at taking some shots after we had finished our eggs and bacon (allowed once a week on a Sunday).
 
I was going to photograph him/her in a mirror, but as Mrs W pointed out that he/she would probably take to the wing I struggled for ages in the specimen pot – the bug that is, not me!
 
This is about the best of a bad bunch of photos, and identification is still on-going.
 
Ps – possibly a ‘Western Conifer Seed Bug’
