Cleethorpes pier

It was originally 1,200 feet in length but today is only 355 feet in length, the reason being that during the Second World War it was seen as a possible problem in the event of a German Invasion so the possibility of it being used to a landing stage had to be dealt with and a large section was removed, never to be replaced.the fish and chips were great
