The days of walking this cycle track are almost over. We are about one day from finishing clearing the family home. I was born in that home, which makes it hard, but what makes it harder is that mum is still with us but not living there. To clear her belongings ruthlessly and then go and visit her after going to the tip, smiling innocently and talking about the weather, is very painful.
