THE SCREAM

This made me think of a screaming mouth - perhaps it's just me...

This is one of several ash trees in the old cemetery that have just upped and died over the winter - covered in keys from last year as though it had one last big celebration, but no new buds at all. However, there seem to be lots of suckers coming up all over the place with buds, so I wonder if they'll be more resistant to the dieback that's killed the mature trees.
