Wanderings & Witterings

Loop

Leading worship in Cumbernauld in the morning, a wee trip into Glasgow in the afternoon, followed by a tortuous session in front of the TV back home watching Scotland put in yet another uninspiring performance against the might of San Marino.

My trip into Glasgow was to make my first visit to Cuningar Loop, a Forestry Commission recreation area on the banks of the River Clyde near Dalmarnock. This is a so-called Legacy Project from the 2014 Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow, and what a fine job they've made of it. Not a particularly large area, but there's a children's play area, bike trails, bouldering facilities and a riverside walkway (see extra).

My main photo is of one of several sculptures on the site, this one marking the entrance from the main car park.
