Finches

American goldfinches and a male house finch. At least I think it's a house finch. I often have a great deal of trouble deciding whether I'm looking at a house or a purple finch - where the males are concerned. The females are easier to tell apart!

Anyway - the goldfinches are starting to get their bright yellow breeding plumage!! Whee!
