The ceiling in in the King’s Inner Hall in Stirling Castle, this King was James V , MQS father.
The ceiling rondels are painted wood carvings, many originals from 16thc with a few new carvings.

A lovely day of sun & showers with a strong wind , visitors enjoyed The castle visit then we drove towards Doune on the look out for Highland Cows! We did find a few who posed oblingly!
Finished with a visit to Deanston distillery for those who’ve watched the film the Angels Share you will know the distillery!
It’s a good visit situated on the banks of the River Teith.
