Birthday in the Rain

Oh how it has rained! There are two birthday girls here today...me and Margaret, a fellow traveller. But we have still had a good day..out in the morning to look at old temples in the nearby town of Manali. That's where I found this huge yak. Isn't he handsome?

Extra is of the main mall thoroughfare. Lots of umbrellas. Jack and I found a local coffee house and enjoyed hot chocolate, toasted cheese sandwiches and pancakes. Not very Indian but what we needed on a cold wet day. Then back to our great hotel for an afternoon of rest.
