Pat a teacake...

What a fabulous day spent with great friends, Sandy & Josie, walking part of the SWCP from Looe to Polperro. A special friendship formed over 20 plus years. After a full Kernow breakfast, which consists of 2 scones, jam, & clotted cream, we drove into West Looe parked the car and set off towards Polperro. Amazing blue sky & sunshine all the way. Quite a few inclines, some more challenging the others, meeting fellow walkers, exchanging pleasantries & taking quite a few pics we eventually arrived in Polperro. We managed the 1.5hr walk (8.2miles,) in 5 hours. We do like to prove them wrong, & today was no exception. No need to panic though as we had 24hr parking back in Looe. First stop was obviously for refuelling. Mine was a toasted teacake which eventually arrived with pats of butter. The cafe was closing just after we arrived, so the owner came out and asked if any of us would like some scones to take home. We came away with 7 scones between the 3 of us. We met some lovely ladies at the bus stop, who had passed us along the coastal path. They were heading in the opposite direction to us. Now back in the caravan enjoying a well earned cider. Sandy is in charge of dinner tonight. Lasagne, garlic bread & salad. Then Sewing Bee if I can stay awake.
Halcyon Days!
