Hakone

After a sumptuous breakfast at the ryokan, I spent the morning finishing my talk for the workshop. Then we toured the area and returned to Tokyo using a bus, funicular, cable car, "pirate boat" [see extra!] bus, tiny train, bullet train and two local trains! 

At the high point of the cable car, we could look down into this steaming crater and out to a hazy but very impressive outline of Mount Fuji that seemed to be in the sky [see extra]
