Vaux-le-Vicomte--Sunset + Kestrel

This afternoon our friends Thierry and Annick drove us an hour SE of Paris to the 17th century Chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte. The structures and grounds are sprawling, and there are plenty of images on the internet, so I won't put up any of mine.  The Common or Eurasian  Kestrel (a male, in the extra) was on a statue on the grounds--a nice bonus.  Afterwards we strolled around nearby Blandy-les-Tours (its castle was closed).  The sunset was of course on our return drive.

The map is marked for the kestrel.
