Ness Beach Dawn

Shaldon's Ness Beach is accessed through a tunnel, romantically called Smuggler's Tunnel, as you might expect. It was still dark when I arrived so I was careful as I entered never knowing whether the foot steps I heard might be cut-throats bringing in contraband on the morning tide. No, just a dog walker with two Jack Russels.

The tide was still high when I got to the beach so I got down low behind some rocks and waited as the sky lit up.
