Swiss Railway progress.

Regular followers will know that thevi 15 year old Lego 9volt railway is being sold on Ebay.

Some sales income has now come in which means that a start can be made on the Swiss N gauge railway and mountain village.

Today a small amount of track has arrived. More exciting is the first train. The blip shows part of the Glacier Express rwhich will be a main feature of the new layout. The background is just an old brochure and this will be replaced by a real mountain.

The real Glacier Express runs between Zermatt and St. Moritz. The journey takes eight hours and the line crosses 291 bridges and has 91 tunnels.

My extra taken in our local supermarket shows that it is even more expensive living here than in Switzerland.
