Rosie and I caught the train to Hastings. It is always exciting to see the sea.
We walked around the old town, remembering lots of funny events from when we stayed here when R and H were children. We had lunch in the Jerwood Gallery and the sun shone so we could sit out on the terrace.
We managed to have some cheesy chips on the beach before heading back to Tunbridge Wells. We walked back and collected our bags and had a last little walk around and then it was time to catch the train together up to London where we went our separate ways home.
