Calendar Girls

Calendar Girls, The Musical came to Woking, and a party went from my WI to the matinee. It is the true story of a group of Yorkshire WI members who produced a nude calendar in aid of a new settee in the relatives room of the local hospital. The Calendar Girls story has now raised more than £5 million fir charity. The musical was lively and fun, and ended with the photography session when they made the calendar, so the brave actresses bared all in a very amusing way. A lovely refreshing musical, catchy tunes, and a beautiful backdrop of the Yorkshire Moors.
The auditorium was full of WI members, with a few brave husbands who came along for the fun. They weren't disappointed!
We went with friends and stopped for a meal on the way home.
