Judge's Court, Pragpur

This lovely manor was built for Justice Sir Jai Lai in the early 20th century. Now a heritage hotel we are here for one night. Our room is lovely, see extra.

Following afternoon tea on the lawn we set out with our guide to walk around the nearby village which has a population of 800. Much of it has been abandoned by earlier wealthy members of the community who have gone to live in cities. Their once beautiful houses, see extra, lay abandoned and with family land disputes preventing further occupation.

But life goes on, see extra, for an Open All Hours shop selling everything.

Earlier in the day we went to Kangra Fort and Museum. More about that and our evening with the local Maharajah coming maybe tomorrow. So much to share with you all!
