Detours

When we come to France we tend to take detours when on our way to places. Churches, Chateaux, interesting events eg boules matches etc.

This is a chateaux just outside Cognac. There was also a very ancient church next door with an unusual tower, but I really liked this photo.

Don't be fooled by the brilliant blue sky! It sheeted down all morning while we were in Chalais, as we left there the sky cleared and the sun came out.
