Installation of Bishop Kevin W. Vann

Today was the installation of the fourth bishop of the Diocese of Orange. Bishop Kevin Vann was installed at the Bren Events Center at my alma mater (go anteaters! zot! zot!) I really wanted to attend, but I didn't ask for time off. So I did the next best thing and streamed it online.

The announcers said there were about 4000 people in attendance and there were about 1300 unique visitors on the web stream. Among all the priests at the ceremony there were several representatives from the various Christian groups in the area. I also saw priests and some people I knew from my church. It was a pretty exciting event to watch.
