Surprise!

We were at the Waterfront Hall yesterday evening for a concert, the hall is, surprisingly enough, beside the River Lagan, and we were amazed to spot this seal just beside the venue. We saw something in the water, then it vanished before we could be sure of what we were seeing, but we waited and watched and it reappeared - it vanished and reappeared several times as we stood at the railings. What an absolute privilege to see it - and right in the city centre! The extra is a nearby bridge over the Lagan, about 50 metres or less from where we saw the seal, all alight as we left to go home.
