When Fergus ran into the Sea at Carskey Bay

10.3C with lots of sunny sunshine. Light SSE/E/ESE breeze.

Grocery shopping.

We drove the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. Seals on the rocks at Kiel today. Gannets in the sky at Carskey, and we spotted at least two diving.

Like Tayinloan yesterday there was noticeably more sand on the beach. We walked along to the far end of the beach and back. Walking was much easier than recent weeks with so much firm sand down near the water's edge to use. Fergus got off his lead halfway along and after his usual disappearing act into the dunes he reappeared at the far end of the beach and ran in and out of the sea for a minute or two before we set off back to the car.

Later Apothecary 7 was layering Gesso over an old painting, accompanied by Van Morrison on CDs, then by BBC radio 2.
