Crimple Low Viaduct

This morning's extended walk took us under the disused Crimple Low Viaduct. Opened in 1849 by the Leeds & Thirsk Railway (later the Leeds Northern) the line across it was  eventually closed in 1951. Although smaller than the nearby Crimple Viaduct  which serves the Leeds - Harrogate line, it is still an impressive structure.
I have blipped this forgotten structure in the past, although from a different angle. Unfortunately, it is now surrounded by large trees making it tricky to get a good shot. In summer it is almost completely obscured by the foliage on the trees.
