Rust and recuperation.

We woke early to listen to the birds dawn chorus which is starting to build up then feel asleep again. The carriage was a fantastic place to stay, if it had a view of the sea it would be perfect.

Once we checked out we drove to Seven Dials and had a coffee and some breakfast in the flowerpot bakery (sausage meat and fennel sausage rolls and paprika and cheese muffin, delicious) then walked to the lovely little mustard shop, Sam Toft's own little shop. We both bought a small momento then walked to the beach.

The West Pier is the most photogenic pier by a mile!

After taking photos and sitting on the beach we returned to the bakery for another drink and a cake then a slow drive home along the coast road not the dual carriageway. Another fantastic weekend away from reality.
