And as luck would have it, one of the items on Radio National's  'Country Wide' was about...yes persimmon.
These are Fuyu persimmon and eaten crisp and firm like an apple or left to go soft and 'mushy' (the orchardist's word!) and squeezed from the skin over icecream, yogurt or your breakfast muesli.
