I took this photo on our walk today. On one side of the path was the magnificent California super bloom, on the other a stand of twisted oaks ravaged by the fires we had last fall. I don't know which was more beautiful. 

Through the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, it was clear that life was beginning over again with the spring.
