Cherry Blossom take two
Just as I'm bemoaning the finish of my ornamental Cherry I noticed that my Edible Cherry is starting to flower. I've never managed to eat any of the Cherries though as the Blackbirds insist on eating them while they are unripe. Lovely Mother's Day with some beautiful presents-unfortunately Caitlin is in trouble as she left Eli's present in Liverpool. It was a spur of the moment decision for Eli to meet us on Saturday so she trusted her big sister to bring her present home! After preparing the Roast dinner, I escaped to the garden briefly to put up canes for Runner and Climbing beans. A few games of cards after lunch then it was time to take Caitlin and Matt back to the station. So glad they've only got 1 week left till they are home for Easter. Lots of Hedgehog activity in the evening-i think there are at least 4 different Hogs-2 larger and 2 smaller. They are so hungry. and thirsty. I'm hoping that the 2 I rescued last winter are still visiting.
