Taxation Without Representation

From left to right, Nicholas Johnson, David Rosario, Cesar Romeo, and Joel Moreno try and open the locked gym doors at Newlin Elementary School Tuesday. The students, who are a part of Ms. Drewyee's fifth grade class, were learning about taxation without representation during their unit on Colonial America in Social Studies.

Really fun, quick assignment. The whole thing lasted about four minutes. They were headed to gym class and the doors were locked because they didn't pay their taxes. Taxation without representation. Clever. The principal was supposed to show up dressed like George Washington but was sick. Sad Day. Still fun photo.
