THE NEW ROAD

It might look like any old road around the Port Hills of Christchurch NZ however after the 2011 Earthquakes this road was completely blocked with fallen rocks.  They said it would never open again.  The Christchurch Airport authority along with the City Council (assisted by Central Govt) decided this was a very important bit of road . Its the main route for Hazardous materials such as AvGas (hence airport). So under budget and ahead of schedule the road is now open again.  Its amazing what can happen when there is a will to do it !!
