Cranes and Turbine Sections

7.0C with showers in the morning and dry in the afternoon. Moderate WSW/W/WNW breeze.

Fergus and I went for our walk after lunch. We went round to the harbour and had a wander round the old quay. Another batch of wind turbine sections in building up on the new quay. Two mobile cranes have arrived too but no ship yet.

We carried on along Hall Street and the shore side of the park and Kilkerran road to Glenramskill House. Across the sound beyond Davaar island I could see some snow on the tops of the Arran hills. We turned there and came back the same way then along the street side of the park and came home through town passing the town hall and the bookshop (open).

On the Clip while walking:
The Scotland Outdoors podcast with Euan McIlwraith and Mark Stephen in the Dumfries and Galloway region as they visit Scotland's first Dark Skies park, meet a willow sculptor and explore the region's rock art.
