And so it begins.

The greenhouse season has made a start.

First out of the gate is this pretty little alpine, Primula allionii.

In the wild it flourishes on cliff faces in the alpine foothills of south eastern France.

It is a favourite on the show bench of the Alpine Garden Society where much bigger plants than mine are completely covered with flowers. So many that you cannot see any leaves.
