Early Spider Orchid

Antagnes, our village, is renowned for its many varieties of orchid. This one is
(Ophrys sphegodes) and is the first to pop up every spring on a south facing slope hidden from people out walking, unless they know the orchids are there of course. At least 100 stems of them are already up but they just might get covered in snow in the next 2 days as snow is due to fall to 600m again! The extra shows where they are in relation to the Dents du Midi on the other side of the valley.
