Impervious to rain

Last week I was grumbling that everywhere was so dry. Just the opposite now, with heavy showers and dark clouds. Luckily I was able to stay indoors, and I caught up on housework and email. These clematis buds with their hairy surface shed the wet, and will give us a fine display in a few weeks' time.
