The Puffin Returns

A fine calm day, really mild and actually felt warm after these last few days.  Mostly cloudy, but some sunny spells this evening.  Breezy by the sea this evening, but calm around the house.

Another day working on the museum desk, and another steady day.  I was noticing a good few visitors about.  Met up with mam for lunch.   Been over to Madeline's for tea, we had a curry takeaway, as it's big Brian's birthday today.  Walkies with Sammy, and now feet up by the fire. 

I heard reports that the puffins had returned, so we headed down for a look.  I wasn't expecting to see any close up, maybe just flying about in the distance, but luckily there was one peerie puffin sitting alone on the cliff edge.  It was great to see him, and fingers crossed they have a great breeding season ahead.  Taken at Sumburgh Head.
