About 20 fascists from the far right group, ‘the North East Frontline Patriots’ (sic) demonstrated in the centre of Newcastle today. Many were wrapped in the Union Jack, the Flag of St. George and the Flag of Zion / the Israeli flag ...

They were met by a much larger counter demonstration by ‘Newcastle Unites’ ...

There was a large police presence and the fascists were eventually led away and dispersed away from the city centre.

Worrying times with the rise of the far right in our national politics ...



And In other news - Wilfried Zaha ‘won’ a penalty at St. James’ Park, which was converted and Crystal Palace went on to beat Newcastle United by a single goal.
