By the sea . . .

. . . again! And to prove it, here are Herring Gulls down by the harbour in Whitby. The adult had just given the younger one a good squawking to and was striding off, leaving the young one suitably cowed.

We were actually on our way to Scarborough and had stopped off in Whitby to eat at the Magpie Cafe - of course! A grey, damp day.

The reason we are in Scarborough is all because of woodpeckers. We had a discussion a while back about being disappointed with the film of Susan Hill's book Woman in Black. She then said I must see the stage version. I found it was on in Scarborough, so here we are . . . ready for The most terrifying live theatre experience in the world. Was this really a good idea!

We do have another room with a sea view though.
