Snowflakes
This afternoon much of the journey on the M8 was in rain and thick fog whereas on Thursday for part of the way there was lying snow with snowflakes hitting the windscreen.  This photo is a broken stem of snowflake flowers (leocojum).   Although they resemble snowdrops they are a different species and flower later when tulips bloom.  Each stem is about 18 to 24 inches tall with several flowers on the top. They are welcome pretty snowflakes to have in the garden.
