Clearing a channel

The dredge is working in Lyttelton Harbour clearing a channel for bigger ships to come in. Saw it while we were driving the newly opened Evans Pass Rd. It's been shut since the earthquakes 8+ years ago, and they've done an amazing job to get it open at all, let alone on time and under budget - how often does that happen?
