Tiny Wild Violet

The last of the snow just left last week, and we already have our first wild violet. Well... cheating just a bit here. The wild violets are just now coming up outside, but this one somehow hitched a ride in a flowerpot in our sun room.

The image was taken with an iPhone XR and attached Moment macro lens. This lens combination has a focus range of about 0.9 cm, and the lens frame face must be about one cm from the closest point on the flower. The Depth of Field of this lens combination is very shallow, which is why focus bracketing is necessary to get more of the subject in sharp focus.

The CameraPixels app was used to focus bracket 40 images and Affinity Photo was used to focus align and merge the images.
