New Thistle

Busy day today as we moved into our new offices at Thistle House at Haymarket.

We were sufficiently confident that all would go well that we held a morning joint meeting with the senior teams of SCRA and ourselves to discuss future planning for the digital programme. All worked very well and we had a productive meeting. Some big decisions needed in the next few weeks to set the agenda for the future.

The main office move also went well. The team got set up quickly, logged in and unpacked. As you’d expect there were some minor niggles but the transition to the new office went very smoothly: a testament to the great planning by the team. It took until the afternoon to get the printer back up and functioning and there are some minor works to complete this week. But overall an excellent start.

We also had afternoon tea with our neighbours on the floor: the Mental Welfare Commission. They had transitioned a month or so ago and had kindly welcomed us with a balloon and a box of goodies. It was good to say hello and meet some of the faces we will share the kitchen with.

So a great start. We look forward to welcoming our volunteers and partners to our new offices.
