Lauren and the vermentino

I am at a wine tasting organised by The Wine Society, sampling 35 wines from the Southern France area.

I enjoyed a vermentino in Sardinia last year and was keen to taste this one. We could see the island of Corsica from our Sardinian hotel, so I thought the growing conditions and soil type would be similar.

Quoting from the tasting notes

"Corse, Terra Nostra Blanc 2017
This lovely refreshing, crisp, herby Corsican white made from the local vermentino grape is well worth trying and is a must with shellfish. Drink this year and next. 12%
