No way !!

Driving home today I noticed a male Orange tip cruising over a patch of Ladies smock (see first extra) Needless to say I stopped the car and grabbed my camera ready to 'stalk' the butterfly, but for once the butterfly was really confiding  and sat around asking to be photographed, when he did decide to move off he found an equally confiding female (see extra 2).
This seemed to liven him up a bit, and he spent a good while flitting round her trying to convince her to mate, but as you can see from the main blip she was having none of it! instead she waved her abdomen in the air in the typical 'get lost' pose.
These butterflies are just so beautiful I could have watched them all day....I will have to return tomorrow for more!
