Xochimilco

Today was one of those days with too many photos from which to choose. We signed up for a guided tour that included the floating gardens of Xochimilco. Turned out we were the only people who signed up, so it turned into a private tour of points of interest in the south of Mexico City. I could have chosen from images taken outside the Olympic Stadium, photos of the first church in Mexico City, a building believed to be the home of Hernan Cortes, Diego Rivera art, or the beautiful home containing it, and a number of stunning peacocks on display. In the end I selected this shot of the boats waiting to take passengers, like ourselves, for a tour of the canals for which this part of Mexico City is famous. So colorful and entertaining.
