Day of culture

Had a great day today, had lunch with my friend Jackie and then went to see the Leonardo Da Vinci exhibition in Southampton Art Gallery. It consists of drawings from the Royal collection, other material is displayed in Galleries around the UK. His anatomical drawings are amazing. Then last night I went, with my friend Lorraine, to see the actor Ian McKellen at our local theatre. He is 80 this year and is doing a national tour. He talked and performed for over 2 hours and then stood at the door as people were leaving shaking a collection bucket for charity. It was amazing! Can only hope I will be that fit when I’m 80, it’s unlikely!
