Trips round the island

Down to the town again this morning and wandered on to the North Pier to see what was about.

This is the good ship Hjalmar Bjorge, which sounds rather unpronounceable! Owned by Northern Light Charters, she was built in 1963 in Norway as a rescue vessel for the fishing fleet, but now runs wildlife cruises.

On Saturday she sets off for her first cruise of the year, a circumnavigation of the Isle of Mull, with daily walks ashore for wildlife spotting. Sounds good!

Off down to Galloway for a job tomorrow, see you Saturday night!
