Short Eared Owl

I had a fabulous day a few days ago, when my dog was still with her home boarder (I was away playing a couple of Bach Passions at the weekend)

I was reminded how much I love doing my wildlife photography, and how much I've missed it since getting Maisie, so the last couple of days I've made myself a bit of time and spent a couple of hours out and about with my camera but without my dog.

Here's tonight photo - a beautiful short eared owl who happily stood there while I took my time photographing him in the golden light of the setting sun.
