Hawk

I went up the Kirkgate for this and that, and passed the falconry stall. Seeing them in this situation makes me uneasy, but I always find myself stopping to watch these beauties. There was a barn owl that seemed a bit agitated, but this guy seemed to be enjoying the sun on his feathers. He occasionally perked up when a Leith Walk feral pigeon came a bit close.....

It was DH's first day working at Blackness Castle (in the absence of Inchcolm having opened yet). Long day for him, with the travelling, but he seemed to enjoy it. Blackness Castle.
