Between fen and mountains

A new venture

Fortunately Henry was feeling much better this morning after his 24 hour tummy bug.  Alice did a bit of practice on the piano and was very pleased when I returned from a radio interview and announced she had had her first enquiry since setting up a recording company a couple of weeks ago. In the afternoon, we went for a stroll through the streets of Villefranche where they bought some souvenirs to take home.  This evening it is our turn to feed the workmen who are installing the bells.  They are now all in place, the wheels are being attached and there is the possibility that six of the bells may be ready for a ring this Sunday.  An old lady came into the church while we were recording and was over the moon that the project has come to fruition in the building in which she was baptised. Her words, which fortunately the sound recordist captured, expressed her delight, "Now the village has two sets of bells and what is a village if it doesn't have bells and a cockerel?"
